KDLaunch aims to be a Simple, Fair and Balanced fundraising platform
The KDLaunch Team has spent a fair amount of time architecting the initial DEX offering (IDO) structure for the platform to make sure all KDLaunch token (KDL) holders, small or big, will have a fair chance to participate in the upcoming IDO’s in its pipeline. Remember, this structure will be subject to change over time in order to maintain a fair and balanced fundraising platform.
Without further ado, let’s get into it:
🔥 Platform Registration 🤜🤛 Know Your Customer (KYC)
In order to participate in the IDO offerings, applicants will be required to successfully complete a KYC verification with the 3rd party KYC provider. This application process will be integrated into the website.
Applicants will only have to successfully complete the KYC verification process once and will be whitelisted across the platform; including all future IDO’s.
KYC verification is NOT required for staking KDL.
🔥 IDO Participation Registration
Before a new IDO starts, there will be a registration period where participants can sign up to participate by registering at the website
The registration process, requires participants to stake a specific amount of KDL associated with the desired tier the participant would like to participate in. This staked KDL, will be locked for the duration of the registration period and sale which is typically, 7 days.
As a courtesy to the platform registrants, each will be notified via email of an upcoming IDO for them to participate in.
Example: Participant currently has 75.000 KDL staked on platform and would like to participate as tier 2 for IDO XYZ. In the IDO registration process, the participant would then lockup their 75.000 KDL with IDO XYZ in order to receive the tier 2 allocation. The participants KDL continues to accrue staking rewards while locked. After the IDO is complete, the participants 75.000 KDL staked are unlocked.
🔥 Pools
IDOs on KDLaunch will consist out of a maximum of three different pools
📍 Whitelist Pool (WP) The Whitelist Pool is for participants who are whitelisted by the IDO project owners (optional)
📍 Allocation Pool (AP) The Allocation Pool is for all participants who are given an allocation
📍 First Come First Serve Pool (FCFS) The FCFS pool is for any remaining unassigned or unused allocations from the WP & AP pools. All IDO participants may participate in this round.
🔥 Assigning Allocation
The allocation sizes will be set on a per project IDO basis, in consultation with the project owner. Factors like the number of participant registrations, maximum raise, etcetera will be taken into account while determining the allocation size.
Allocations are assigned, based on the amount of KDL staked for tier eligibility, for guaranteed allocations and allocations assigned to lottery winners which is described in detail in the next chapter.
🔥 Tiers
KDLaunch uses a lottery system combined with guaranteed allocations. There are four tiers that determine the amount of lottery tickets and guaranteed allocations that are distributed to participants. In order to keep the allocation as fair as possible and make sure all holders, small or big will get a chance to participate, we are introducing below:
The Simple Fair Balancer Formula™
for every (5.000 * (1 + ga)) KDL staked one lottery ticket is awarded
*ga = guaranteed allocation
Guaranteed allocations are gained according to the following tiering system:
📍 Tier 1️⃣ < 75.000 KDL staked = 0 guaranteed allocations + lottery tickets
📍 Tier 2️⃣ ≥75.000 KDL staked = 1 guaranteed allocation + lottery tickets
📍 Tier 3️⃣ ≥150.000 KDL staked = 2 guaranteed allocations + lottery tickets
📍 Tier 4️⃣ ≥300.000 KDL staked = 4 guaranteed allocations + lottery tickets
For every tier, lottery tickets are awarded based on the staked amount of KDL locked for the IDO, but because of the balancer mechanism, the amount of KDL needed for one lottery ticket increases after a guaranteed allocation has been acquired.
Let’s have a look at some examples per Tier:
Tier 1 Example: Participant locks up 50.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 10 lottery tickets
Tier 1 Example: Participant locks up 67.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 13 lottery tickets
Tier 2 Example: Participant locks up 90.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 1 guaranteed allocation and 9 lottery tickets
Tier 2 Example: Participant locks up 120.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 1 guaranteed allocation and 12 lottery tickets
Tier 3 Example: Participant locks up 150.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 2 guaranteed allocations and 10 lottery tickets
Tier 3 Example: Participant locks up 250.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 2 guaranteed allocations and 16 lottery tickets
Tier 4 Example: Participant locks up 300.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 4 guaranteed allocations and 12 lottery tickets
Tier 4 Example: Participant locks up 350.000 staked KDL for IDO XYZ. The participant would be assigned 4 guaranteed allocations and 14 lottery tickets
👉 All tiers, can only win ONCE with lottery tickets, per IDO, regardless of the amount of lottery tickets that participant is in possession of. Lottery tickets cannot be gifted, traded or sold.
👉 The maximum amount of allocations any participant can acquire per IDO will be 5.
🔥 Staking
Long term staking will be available and highly recommended when participating in the offerings on the platform to accrue staking rewards.
An IDO participants KDL continues to accrue staking rewards while locked for participation in an IDO
